Journal of Surgical Research Announces New Acute Care Surgery Associate Editor

S AgarwalWe are pleased to announce that Suresh K. Agarwal, Jr., M.D., has been selected to serve as the new Associate Editor for the Acute Care Surgery section of the Journal of Surgical Research. Dr. Agarwal is an Associate Professor of Surgery, Chief of the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, and Program Director for the Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowship in the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He has an extensive track record in clinical research focused on acute lung injury, including funding from the National Trauma Institute. Dr. Agarwal has served on the Editorial Board of JSR since 2011.

Scott LeMaire

Scott A. LeMaire, MD, is the Jimmy and Roberta Howell Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery, the Vice Chair for Research in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, the Director of Research in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Professor of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at Baylor College of Medicine, as well as a Physician Associate in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Texas Heart Institute and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. LeMaire is a past-president of the Association for Academic Surgery and is the current editor-in-chief of the Journal of Surgical Research.
