Fireside Chat (Webinar) Maintaining Balance & Control

The Committee on Technology & Communications are on a mission to assist members of the AAS with time management, avoiding burnout, enhancing remote interactions, learning when to shut down, and promoting healthy boundaries.

This webinar is for everyone, but would be of particular interest to Assistant Professors and early Associate Professors.

During the lockdown related to COVID-19, the increase in the ease of video conferencing allowed us to maintain and in some cases even make new connections with colleagues both near and far. While this ability to meet and interact face to face virtually anywhere and anytime has had its benefits, it has also created new issues that we as academic surgeons must contend with. This webinar aims to discuss ways to maintain balance and control in a world where many of the former conventional barriers no longer apply.

Moderators:
Kathleen Romanowski, MD – University of California, Davis
