Congratulations to the New Journal of Surgical Research Social Media Editor

We are pleased to announce that Kevin Koo, MD, MPH, MPhil (@kvnkoo), has been selected to serve as the new Social Media Editor for the Journal of Surgical Research (JSR). Dr. Koo is a urologist at Mayo Clinic and an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. His academic interests include minimally invasive surgical technology, healthcare delivery, and leadership development in surgical training. He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles focusing on the use of social media in surgical practice and research. Dr. Koo currently serves as a member of the Society of Asian Academic Surgeons Publications Committee, a member of the Social Media Committee of the Endourological Society, and a member of the Editorial Board of Urology Practice.

Dr. Koo will be taking the reins from Dr. Niraj Gusani, who has served as our inaugural Social Media Editor since 2015. We are deeply appreciative to Dr. Gusani for his leadership in launching and expanding our efforts to engage readers and authors through social media.
