Application Period Open for the 2021 AAS-SUS BTR Mentoring Program

The Association for Academic Surgery and the Society of University Surgeons are pleased to again open up the application process for the 2021 AAS-SUS Basic/Translational Research Mentoring Program.
Made possible through the strong support of AAS, SUS, and the Surgical Biology Club, this highly competitive mentoring program offers a unique opportunity for junior faculty surgeon-scientists in BTR to partner with mentors who are established senior surgeon-scientists in BTR. The mentor will provide advice and support to the mentee in all aspects of their academic career, including career planning, development of specific aims, assistance with grant-writing and research design, participation in academic surgical societies, and networking at the national level. Awardees of this highly competitive program will be announced and recognized at the 2022 Academic Surgical Congress.
Click the link below for more information and to submit your application.
The application deadline is Monday, September 27, 2021 at 5:00pm EST
