The intent of these awards are to encourage the exchange of ideas and information about clinical, scientific and policy aspects of surgery between members of the AAS and international societies. These exchanges are open to all AAS members and applicants must have a strong history of participation in the AAS, a record of significant accomplishment in any aspect of surgical research and a current full-time academic appointment. The award is travel support for these organization’s respective 2025 annual meetings.
Exchanges are currently available for:
- Taiwan Surgical Association International Visiting Professorship Award (Annually held in the spring)
- West African College of Surgeons International Visiting Fellowship Award(Annually held in the spring)
- Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Younger Fellows Committee Exchange – TBD We are currently accepting applications for this opportunity, please note that the terms of the exchange are subject to change, travel may not be guaranteed.
- Colombia Surgical Association (Annually held in the fall)
