I would be honored to serve as an AAS committee member. I am a new member who learned about this organization through several of my mentors. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine and vascular surgeon – educator – health services researcher. I am the course director of a senior medical student elective that prepares surgery-focused students for their surgical internship. After increasing my scholarship over the last two years, I developed an academic platform that is focused on quality of peripheral artery disease care and health equity and am funded for this work. I serve as an active and engaged participant on committees for other regional and national societies and bring a unique, diverse perspective to them all.
