I am a MIS/robotic and HPB surgeon in my 8th year of practice at Stanford. The AAS Education Committee is in line with my experience and passion for surgical education. I am APD for the Stanford HPB fellowship and the Stanford Surgery Residency Program and in these roles, I have focused on curriculum development, skills assessment, and integrating methods of feedback.
I have served on the AHPBA Education Committee where I initiated a bi-annual Fellows Virtual Course on management dilemmas, imaging essentials, and small group sessions with experts. I am active in HPB curriculum reform for the AHPBA and Fellowship Council and am building a repository of high yield references, video presentations, and technique videos for this project.
I want to give back to AAS as it has brought me professional fulfillment and collaboration. I know I can contribute towards new educational projects to engage trainees and support faculty development.
