AAS Program and Publications Committees Self-Nominations – Deadline January 22, 2020

We are currently accepting self-nominations to the AAS Program and Publications Committees. Below are the charges for each committee and the term is from 2020-2022.

Program Committee
1.     Review submitted abstracts in a timely fashion and select those to be presented
        during the combined annual meeting.
2.     Attend the meeting of the Program Committee at the ACS Fall Meeting.
Publications Committee
1.     Review submitted manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Surgical Research in
        association with the AAS for the annual meeting.

Only active AAS members are eligible for these committee positions. Please remember that members are not eligible to serve on the same committee more than once.
The deadline for submission for these committees/positions is
Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 11:59pm CST.

About AAS Webmaster

The Association for Academic Surgery was founded in 1967 and has grown significantly over the years being widely recognized as an inclusive surgical organization with over 2,500 member surgeons.

Active members have traditionally held faculty appointments at a recognized academic center. Active membership is also available to senior/chief residents and fellows in approved training programs in general surgery and the surgical specialties. The impetus of the membership remains research-based academic surgery.
