2019 Young Investigators Award

Attention surgery RESIDENTS or FELLOWS in Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, Plastics and Otolaryngology:

Funding Available for Registration for the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS) Fall Courses, immediately preceding the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress

Apply to receive free registration to the:

AAS Fall Courses – “30th Annual Fundamentals of Surgical Research Course & 15th Annual Early Career Development Course”

October 26, 2019, at the Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square, San Francisco, CA

***You must be a resident or fellow in one of the above specialties to qualify for consideration. General surgery residents who have matched into one of the above specialties will also be considered.

***The award does not cover cost of travel or lodging.

*** If you are interested in this opportunity, please send a copy of your CV, letter from your program stating that you are a resident/fellow in good standing, and a one-paragraph statement of interest and what you hope to gain from attending the course to:

About AAS Webmaster

The Association for Academic Surgery was founded in 1967 and has grown significantly over the years being widely recognized as an inclusive surgical organization with over 2,500 member surgeons.

Active members have traditionally held faculty appointments at a recognized academic center. Active membership is also available to senior/chief residents and fellows in approved training programs in general surgery and the surgical specialties. The impetus of the membership remains research-based academic surgery.
