General Surgery

I am a Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary surgeon at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. Previously, I worked at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, OK as an assistant professor of surgery. In my current position, I serve as the incoming Program Director for the General Surgery residency program which has a total of 34 residents. As part of this role, I have served as an educational mentor for faculty including aiding the development of novel curricula for didactic and simulation content. Institutionally, I am the Cancer Liaison Physician for the institutional ACS Cancer Committee. I currently hold faculty appointments with Mercer University, Medical College of Georgia, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and am actively involved in both MS3 and MS4 educational programs. My current research activities are focused on the development of novel liver therapies for primary/secondary liver malignancies, clinical outcomes in GP-NET tumors, and social media within surgical services.
