Statement

"Iqra," the Quran's opening word, shapes my journey—an enduring lesson in cherishing knowledge. Despite financial constraints, my parents prioritized my education upon our immigration to the U.S. This early lesson underscored integrity, hard work, and the privilege of learning. Now, as I weave knowledge and passion in the younger generations of physicians, I aspire to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion. From teaching organic chemistry to leading global medical missions as a college student, now guiding diverse students, residents, and fellows, my commitment to education aligns with creating an inclusive environment with a global perspective. My goal is to become a surgeon-scientist, making a global impact, promoting collaboration, and inspiring future generations.
