Statement

As a proactive member and former chair of the American College of Surgeons Resident Association Communication Committee, I've gained invaluable experience in collaborating, communicating, and driving actionable initiatives in the surgical field. My tenure in this role has instilled in me the importance of clear and effective communication, both internally among professionals and externally to the broader community, ensuring that our objectives and insights are transparent and accessible.

Beyond my organizational involvement, my fervent passion for addressing disparities in cancer research and outcomes for minority populations sets a foundational objective for my professional pursuits. It's not just a professional pursuit; it's personal. It is my belief that to address issues of disparity and inclusivity genuinely; we must integrate voices that understand the intricacies of these challenges both theoretically and practically.

Joining the AAS, I aim to bring this unique perspective to the table.
