Statement

Hello!

I have greatly benefitted from all that the AAS has to offer and, as a brand-new attending colorectal surgeon at UCSF, I am hoping I can finally give something back to the society. I have a background in both biomedical informatics and implementation science. It is my hope to utilize emerging technology, such as large-language models, to improve communication with our patients and to expand access of such technology to all. While I can't offer free colonoscopies for your vote, I can promise that I will bring my typical enthusiasm and commitment to any committee. Thank you for your consideration!

Mark
