I have been drawn to the Association for Academic Surgeons in the last few years as I attended the ASC conference and saw the academic rigor of the program. While I had the honor of presenting an abstract at the Congress, I was also excited to see other fellow young academic surgeons bringing forth their years of hard work. I would like to be part of and promote a progressive organization that is committed to the advancement of young academic surgeons such as myself. I believe my efforts to advance this mission can be best served in a committee dedicated to this endeavor.
