Trauma and Acute Care Surgery

I am eager to join the Committee on Academic Advancement or the Clinical and Health Services Research Committee to contribute to the advancement of patient care via academic surgery. As an academic Trauma Surgeon and Pediatric Trauma Medical Director, I am interested in adherence to best practice guidelines and am committed to bridging the gap between clinical practice and academic inquiry. I am passionate about the role of evidence-based research in shaping clinical guidelines and improving patient care. Furthermore, as early career faculty, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the processes behind academic promotion, mentoring, and keys to a successful career in academic surgery. Being a part of one of the AAS committees would allow me to collaborate with like-minded professionals, share insights from my own work, and help shape the future of academic surgery. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to strategies that promote academic excellence and advance clinical research to enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
