I am a surgeon-scientist who practices trauma and acute care surgery, and performs basic science research in traumatic brain injury. I love working with students and residents, but many are reluctant to participate in this type of research. My goal for this committee would be to make basic science more accessible to trainees and faculty alike, creating a more inclusive atmosphere.
