Statement

I would like to participate as a member of the Clinical and Health Services Research committee because of my interest in health services research, specifically health literacy. As a member of the committee, I will work hard to develop emerging components of outcomes research for the AAS.

Secondly, I am interested in serving on the Committee for Academic Advancement. I would love the opportunity to be able to work with the SUS committee on social and legislative issues in thinking about and developing a session at the ASC that will focus on social and legislative issues that would be of interest to academic surgeons.

I hope that I will be considered for a position on the aforementioned committees. As a committee member, I will ensure that I actively participate, attend all conference calls, and fulfill all requirements of the committee.
