I am a surgeon-scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I care for patients with soft tissue sarcoma (STS). My group’s translational research aims to elucidate mechanisms of response and resistance to immunotherapy in STS. As a trainee and early-career faculty, I have benefitted from engagement in, as well as mentorship, sponsorship, and grant funding support from surgical societies like the AAS. I hope to have the opportunity to contribute to the Basic and Translational Research and/or Academic Advancement Committee and to support and promote those currently engaged in or who plan to pursue basic/translational research in their careers.
