Maymona Choudry – Untitled

Description: This photograph encapsulates the culmination of our month-long celebration of Ramadan, showcasing the collective efforts of Muslim residents, medical students hailing from various regions of the Philippines, and individuals from foreign countries who have joined forces to partake in medical missions and consultation activities, all aimed at serving the underserved Muslim communities in Cebu City, Philippines. This collaborative initiative not only fosters unity but also endeavors to inspire younger generations of Muslim doctors to remain united, encouraging them to prioritize reconnection with their faith and instilling a sense of duty to consistently give back to Muslim society.

Artist: Maymona Choudry, MD, MPH, is a recent General Surgery graduate from Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City. Her diverse interests encompass Thoraco-Cardiovascular Surgery, Global Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, Public Health, and Research. Beyond her professional commitments, she dedicates her spare time to organizing medical missions aimed at serving underserved Muslim communities.

The artwork will be printed on high-quality art paper; dimensions are approximately 18 x 24 inches.
