Michael Furey, DO
Can Artificial Intelligence Coach Faculty to Utilize Growth Mindset Language in Feedback?

Michael Furey is currently a Surgical Education and Research Fellow with the Geisinger Surgical Institute in Danville, PA. On July 1st, he will return to the Geisinger Northeast General Surgery Residency Program in Wilkes-Barre, PA as a PGY-4 resident. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Medical Education at his alma mater, the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated from in 2021 with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and Master of Science in Medical Education (MSMEd). In addition to surgical education, he is interested in colorectal and minimally invasive surgery.

    Kelsey Muir, MD
    Linagliptin Modulation of Inflammation in Chronic Coronary Artery Disease

    Kelsey Muir is currently a general surgery resident at Brown University doing a two-year post-doctoral fellowship with Dr. Frank Sellke in the Cardiovascular Research Center at Brown University. She is investigating medical and experimental therapies for ischemic heart disease in regard to their angiogenic potential and improving cardiac performance. She is interested in pursuing an academic career in cardiothoracic surgery.
