Less Than A Month ‘Till ASC 2019!

Happy New Year from the AAS Program Committee!  The 14th Annual Academic Surgical Congress looks to be record-breaking in every way!  We had a record number of abstract submissions this year, and there will be a new record of over 1600 presentations in Houston.  Thus far, the registration is on track to be the largest ASC ever, and to this end, make sure to register by: January 14th.

You can register at this site: http://www.cvent.com/events/14th-annual-academic-surgical-congress-asc-/event-summary-eb7bc5758d684bde8d6ddf0e7fb307ce.aspx

Record attendance is expected and the meeting hotel, The Hilton Americas – Houston, is currently sold out of the ASC19 Group rate.  You may still call the hotel to inquire about availability and current published rates.

Here is more information about hotel accommodations: https://academicsurgicalcongress.org/hotel/

As always, the quality of the science and research will be top notch in the areas of basic science, clinical research, health services research, surgical education, and global research.  In addition, we have an amazing slate of Hot Topic symposiums as well as Committee Sessions lined up for the meeting.  After last year’s success, we plan to bring back Surgical Jeopardy, where the residents from the top institutions will compete for top prize!  The Association for Academic Surgery Foundation and the Society of University Surgeons Foundation will once again host a poker tournament, featuring some of our favorite surgeons.  The evening will be capped off with another fantastic evening of dancing with the incomparable DJ Dorry!

We look forward to seeing you in Houston for the 2019 ASC!
