The AAS Ethics Committee Art & Essay Festival for 2024 continues with our art auction, benefitting the AAS Foundation. Visit the Auction Site, review the art and learn about the artists, and be sure to bid on the submitted work by AAS member artists, like this entry from Joseph Talbet:

Description: The artwork is a re-take of the first operation under ether which took place on October 19th. 1846 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. This retake introduces gender and ethnic diversity.

Artist: Joseph Talbet is a PGY-2 general surgery resident at Northshore university hospital. Joseph graduated from Columbia University with a focus in psychology and art.
