2020 Young Investigators Award for ASC

Attention Surgery RESIDENTS or FELLOWS in
Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, Plastics & Otolaryngology:

Funding is now available for Registration for the 2020 Academic Surgical Congress.

ASC 2020 – the 15th Annual Academic Surgical Congress

February 4-6, 2020, at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace, Orlando, Florida

You must be a resident or fellow in one of the above specialties to qualify for consideration. General surgery residents who have matched into one of the above specialties will also be considered. This award does not cover the cost of travel or lodging.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please send a copy of your CV along with a letter from your program stating that you are a resident/fellow in good standing and a one-paragraph statement of interest regarding what you hope to gain from attending the meeting.

Submit these materials to Ochun Farlice at ochun@aasurg.org by December 30, 2019.
Late applications will not be considered. If you are selected for this award and have already registered for the ASC, your registration fee will be refunded.

AAS leaders will facilitate the selected individuals’ engagement in the organization. The AAS is the world’s largest organization of academic surgeons and its mission is to develop and inspire the young academic surgeon. For more information visit the AAS website.

About AAS Webmaster

The Association for Academic Surgery was founded in 1967 and has grown significantly over the years being widely recognized as an inclusive surgical organization with over 2,500 member surgeons.

Active members have traditionally held faculty appointments at a recognized academic center. Active membership is also available to senior/chief residents and fellows in approved training programs in general surgery and the surgical specialties. The impetus of the membership remains research-based academic surgery.
