#AASChat Twitter Topic for Feb 28th “Putting Boundaries on Professional Life”

February 27, 2023 by AAS Office

Join us on Tuesday, February 28th at 9 PM ET on Twitter @AcademicSurgery.

On this month’s #AASChat led by Krista Haines, DO, MA (@DrKristaHaines)  we’ll discuss Putting Boundaries on Professional Life. A few questions that will direct the conversation will include:

Question 1: Electronic medical records have made some aspects of patient care much easier and some much more difficult. What burdens have they placed on surgeons, and what are strategies for reducing those?

Question 2: In the post-COVID era, we have seen a huge increase in virtual meetings. Does this make placing boundaries harder or easier?

Question 3: What do you do when the work is not done, but you aren’t within scheduled work hours?

Question 4: How do you use email replies, rules, and Do Not Disturb to protect your off time?

Question 5: How do you set boundaries and still show up / support your team?

See you there!
