This painting illustrates the many emotions patient’s experience when they have COVID. A patient with a very prominent worried expression surrounded by words emphasizing the patient’s feelings while they have COVID is the centerpiece of the image. Additionally, the hands and symbols of hope in the periphery illustrate people’s desire to support one another through illness.
Pranali Kamat is a 4th year medical student at McGovern Medical School at UT Health Science Center at Houston applying to general surgery residency. She went to undergrad at UT Dallas where she majored in Neuroscience and minored in Performing Arts.
