AAS Town Hall Webinar – Racial Discrimination in Academic Surgery

AAS Town Hall Webinar

Racial Discrimination in Academic Surgery

The Association for Academic Surgery (AAS) recognizes its obligation to address the lack of diversity within the academic surgical workforce. We believe tackling this problem is essential to attaining health equities we continue to deliver care to an increasingly diverse patient population. Recent events have highlighted that our efforts thus far have been insufficient, but has strengthened our commitment to changing this status quo.  Join us as we discuss Racial Discrimination in Academic Surgery and discuss tools to counteract systematic bias in academic surgery.  Please also read the AAS Commitment to Diversity in Academic Surgery at https://www.aasurg.org/aas-commitment-to-diversity-in-academic-surgery/
