The AAS has demonstrated a firm commitment to developing and advancing young academic surgeons.  As a junior faculty member, I want to leverage my own skills and experiences to shape future AAS initiatives.  I believe I am particularly poised to bring my social media experience on a personal and organizational level to the Committee on Technology and Communications to expand the reach of the AAS.  I also believe my early experience in local and national leadership roles would provide valuable input to the Leadership Committee.  I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to and enrich the future of AAS.
