The Association for Academic Surgery is the premier organization supporting the development of early career surgical faculty through its various efforts and committees. I have had the opportunity to contribute to this mission by serving on the Basic and Translational Research Committee and the Committee on Academic Advancement over the past four years. I have also participated in and presented at the pre-ACS Fall Courses, which are a tremendous resource for medical students, residents, and early faculty and continue to develop and evolve to support these groups. I would like to continue my service to the AAS as a member of the Leadership or the Membership Committee. Both are critical to the AAS mission and with my experience within the AAS and my prior service I believe I would be an effective part of either committee. Thank you for allowing me to continue to serve this amazing society.
