I am an Assistant Professor of Surgery and the Chief of the Melanoma/Sarcoma Surgery Section at UAB. I believe that leadership is not innate but is fostered and can be taught. If elected to the leadership committee, I would be grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Career Development Course and to work to develop all of our members as leaders. I have served AAS on the Membership Committee, the Basic and Translational Research Committee, and most recently on the Nominating Committee. I look forward to continuing my service to AAS and appreciate your support.
