I am currently a Surgical Oncology fellow at the Dana Farber Cancer Center at Harvard Medical School and a graduate of General Surgery Residency at UC San Diego. I have a clinical interest in developing an academic practice treating complex GI malignancies. My research expertise focuses on the development of fluorescent tumor-specific probes to guide oncologic surgeries.
I have attended several AAS fall courses over the past 9 years of training and have benefited from the advice, mentorship, and connections from AAS members. As a mother of two in a dual-physician household, now starting out on a career in surgical oncology, I would appreciate the opportunity to give back to the AAS community. I am an advocate of creative strategies to maximize academic potential while maintaining a work-life balance.
