General Surgery

I am a PGY3 general surgery resident at OSU, currently using my academic development time to develop novel retrievable stents for a variety of surgical applications. This experience, coupled with my engineering background, has provided me with a strong understanding of the device development process. In addition to my interest in surgical technology, I am passionate about health equity, and I’m currently working to improve access to surgical care as a member of the Health Disparities Committee at OSUMC.
As a future surgeon-scientist, I would like to serve on AAS’s Technology and Communications or Global Affairs committees to further contribute to the academic surgical community. I believe AAS would benefit from active collaboration with the international surgical community in order to cultivate an environment of innovation and promote the exchange of ideas.
