As a surgical resident and global surgery fellow at the Medical College of Wisconsin my passion is advocating for neglected surgical patients. Through pursuit of a Master’s of Global Health Equity and as a fellow for the Global Alliance for Surgical, Obstetric, Trauma and Anesthesia Care I have learned the power of bidirectional collaboration to improve healthcare access. My research focuses on improving data systems and using machine learning methods to understand and overcome barriers to surgical care in resource-poor areas. I would be honored to serve on the global affairs committee to foster academic collaboration for making global impact.
