General Surgery
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
As a general surgery resident at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and current research resident in the lab of Dr. Eugene Kim, I am an aspiring pediatric surgeon-scientist with a commitment to a career in translational pediatric oncology research. In addition, due to a strong clinical interest in minimally-invasive surgical techniques, I am also actively engaged in biodevice innovation and the development of magnetic compression anastomoses in pediatric patients with esophageal atresia. Active collaboration with surgeons in Nigeria, Germany, and the UK has led to an incredible exchange of ideas and advancement in biodevice innovation. Thus, as a first-hand witness to the benefits of international collaboration and as a beneficiary of incredible mentorship and sponsorship through the AAS, I am seeking the opportunity to serve the AAS and its members through service on the Global Affairs or Membership Committee. Thank you very much!
