I would be honored to serve on an AAS Committee focused on mentoring future surgeons. Here are a few of my accomplishments/qualifications: leadership (currently Associate Program Director for Pediatric Surgery fellowship, have been Associate Program Director for Surgical Critical Care, have served as Chair/Vice Chair in American Pediatric Surgery Association (APSA) Critical Care Committee, was Medical School Clerkship Director in Pediatric Surgery), diversity (co-lead Alliance of Pediatric Surgeons Growing and Advancing Representation (APGAR) – mentorship group for students with interest in pediatric surgery), mentorship/scholarship (Association of Pediatric Surgery Training Program Directors member, member of American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Surgery Education Committee, APSA Education Committee, and Society of University Surgeons Education Committee, and personality (interested in training, teaching, mentoring the next generation of academic surgeons, video game player [PS4] and Star Wars nerd). Hope you will consider voting for me!
