I am an Associate Professor of Surgery at Yale interested in serving on either the Academic Advancement or Education Committee. As a URIM, I understand the unique challenges faced in academic medicine and education. With proper self-motivation and mentorship, all can advance in academic medicine; I would like to share my knowledge and experiences to help facilitate career advancement. Academically, I am committed to the education of our house staff and have served as the Fellowship Director for the Yale Endocrine Surgery Fellowship Program since 2019. I believe my experience would be helpful for the goals of the education committee.
