I am writing to declare my interest in serving on an AAS Committee. I am currently a third-year resident in General Surgery at the University of Miami. I just began my two-year research fellowship as a NIH T32 Postdoctoral Scholar in Surgical Oncology with a focus in health disparities in minority women with breast cancer. As a Hispanic woman in medicine with research experience in organizational diversity and discrimination, I am committed to diversity and inclusion in my career and eager to make an impact on a national level through the DEI and/or Membership Committees.
