Through the AAS leadership committee, I will contribute in a variety of ways, including development of innovative course curriculum and speaker selection for the Fall Career Development Course. As an early career surgeon scientist, I value professional development and leadership as critically important aspects of academic life.  The AAS Fall Career Development Course is an exciting opportunity for me to focus on developing key relationships with residents, fellows and junior faculty helping them shape their trajectory in the surgery and develop their research interests. I look forward to devoting energy, time and enthusiastic commitment to this role.
