I am a Trauma/ACS Surgeon and Surgical Intensivist at Boston University. Having served as a councilor to the AAS for the class of 2014, I have had an opportunity to be involved in the critical reviews of applicants applying to benefit from our generous mission. With the tremendous financial support that the organization has benefited from to support the mission, the financial committee is the crucial lifeblood of the organization. I bring several years of experience serving integral to the finances of another successful philanthropic national academic surgical society and would like the opportunity translate lessons learned to help further grow what keeps AAS such a vital organization in promoting the careers of academic surgeons.
