Statement
I am a colorectal surgeon and clinical researcher at the University of Utah. The AAS has played a pivotal role in my development as an academic surgeon. I initially joined in 2013 as a surgical resident, and served as the class of 2018 Councilor for the Executive Committee as well as a member of the Program Committee. I am passionate about clinical research, and have experience mentoring students and residents in grant and scientific writing, as well as personal experience with foundation and NIH funding. I now hope to continue my service to AAS by contributing through the Clinical and Health Services Research Committee.
