I am currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin in Burns, Trauma, ACS and Critical Care. Working with these patient populations often brings ethical, palliative and end-of-life issues to the forefront of discussion. Accordingly, my clinical research has focused on the psychosocial impact of injury. I am interested in serving on the AAS Ethics committee to deepen my involvement with the organization in an arena where I am deeply invested. Ethical issues have been paramount as we have traversed the recent epidemic, and are central to much of the moral injury we are witnessing contributing to burnout.
