As a previous medical clerkship director, current fellowship director, and multiple other education roles I think I am able to offer experience, perspective, and a deep interest in education, be it resident/fellow related or post-graduate.  As a still -somewhat- young--ish educator I still have a lot of energy and excitement in being part of educating myself and helping my peers with their own education, especially in this era of change, and high pace learning!

My experience as the house of surgery chair of the quality committee for my institution will provide practical experience for the Clinical and Health Services Research committee.  Being one of the R01 grant co-PI in and outcome research grant, and multiple published manuscripts in the surgical outcomes arena, and disparities research might also provide experience in the publication arena for this committee.
