I am a surgeon scientist at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. My research has two arms focused in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors: 1) basic science research in Notch signaling and 2) translational projects to identify molecular drivers of disparate outcomes between Black and White patients with this disease. My clinical practice is focused on GI surgical oncology and HPB. I have been involved in the AAS since residency and would be honored to serve on the Basic and Translational Science committee to help guide the research mission of this organization.
