I am a dedicated surgical oncologist and passionate scientist and educator. My research interests span both translational and basic science arenas with the goal of advancing the delivery of surgical care and improving survival in patients with cancer. My record reflects my commitment to training, mentoring, and to promoting an INCLUSIVE and SUPPORTIVE scientific research environment. By participating in leadership training and mentoring seminars at national conferences and locally at the Ohio State University I am confident in my ability to continue in this tradition. I am very excited about the prospects of serving the AAS community and working with the leadership and to ensure members of the AAS can participate in the activities required to identify and make the timely transition into careers in the biomedical research workforce that are consistent with their skills, interests, and the values of the AAS.
