COURSE OBJECTIVES
22nd ANNUAL FUNDAMENTALS OF SURGICAL RESEARCH COURSE
At the Conclusion of this course, participants will learn to:
- Choose a mentor and manage your time better
- Submit your work for presentation and peer-review publication
- Design, analyze, and protect the intellectual property of your research
- Conduct cutting edge basic science and translational research
- Perform clinical and health services research
- Conduct research in education or simulation
- Develop and maintain databases and clinical trials
7th ANNUAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT COURSE
At the Conclusion of this course, participants will learn to:
- Effectively plan your academic career
- Advance along promotion and tenure tracks
- Get involved and make the most of national societies as well as local university and hospital committees
- Successfully write grants and get funded!
- Balance your career between academic, clinical, and personal responsibilities
