Several AAS Committees regularly contribute articles to The Academic Surgeon, and we encourage anyone interested in academic surgery to submit articles for consideration.
AAS Blog Submission Guidelines:
- Blogs are typically 500-800 words in length, and photos or other media are welcome.
- When submitting a blog for the first time, please also submit a 2-3 sentence bio for yourself and a recent photo, so that we can create your author byline.
- Blog topics can be related to your work, to academic surgery, to work-life balance, to what interests you or is currently filling your time. It can be news, it can be educational, it can be editorial. They can be posts that feature interviews with opinion leaders or summaries of important research. You are encouraged to ask questions and frame your post in a way that can generate comments and discussion.
Posts should be submitted to Terri Lin-White in the AAS Administrative office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Blogs will be reviewed and approved by the AAS Secretary, and once approved will post within that week.
